Flooring FAQ
Common questions about flooring installation with CSE Flooring & Interiors.
What flooring types do you install?
Hardwood (solid and engineered), carpet, luxury vinyl plank and tile, laminate, rigid core and composite flooring, tile, and epoxy floor coatings. We handle residential and commercial work.
Are you the person who actually installs the floor?
Yes. CSE Flooring & Interiors is owner operated. The person who measures your space, quotes your floor and finishes the job is the same person who installs it. There are no crew handoffs or subcontractors you never meet.
What areas do you serve?
We work within about 50 miles of Parkville, MD, covering Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Harford County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County and Carroll County.
How do I get an estimate?
Call (443) 623-2765 or fill out the estimate form on any page. The owner will personally come out to measure your space and help you choose the right floor.
Do you do commercial flooring?
Yes. We install commercial carpet tile, luxury vinyl, rigid core and epoxy coatings for offices, retail, restaurants, rentals and property managers, with scheduling that works around your business hours.
Can you remove my old floor?
Yes. Removal of existing flooring and subfloor prep are part of the process and are factored into your estimate.
What if my subfloor is uneven or damaged?
Subfloor condition is assessed during the in-home measure. We level and repair subfloors as needed so your new floor installs flat and lasts.
Do you move furniture?
Furniture moving can be arranged. Mention it when you request your estimate so it is included in the plan.
Can you install flooring on stairs?
Yes. Stairs are a common part of flooring projects, especially hardwood and carpet, and are measured and quoted as part of your job.
Which flooring is best with pets?
Luxury vinyl, rigid core, tile and epoxy are the most pet-friendly options. They resist scratches and accidents. Hardwood with a durable finish also performs well with pets when spills are wiped up quickly.
Which flooring is best for wet areas like bathrooms?
Tile, luxury vinyl and rigid core are fully waterproof and ideal for bathrooms, kitchens and basements. Solid hardwood is best kept out of full bathrooms.
Do I need to pick my flooring material before I call?
No. If you are not sure yet, choose "Not sure yet" on the form and the owner will help you compare options during your in-home measure.
How long does a flooring project take?
Timelines depend on the material, square footage, subfloor condition and whether old flooring needs removal. The owner gives you a clear timeline after measuring your space.
